OK guys so my friends bought a 89 diesel ambulance to tailgate with and after seeing my friend tell me he's installing a 12" jbl from best buy and how it was pounding I volunteered to take over audio. I felt for tailgating purposes 4 6x9's on an amp and a 15" would be plenty loud and sound decent even though the ambulance is gonna have poor acoustic properties especially where he wants everything put. Anyway so far 4 6x9's (Alpine type S, his choice not mine) on a hifonics brx616.4 (80wrms) and 4 6 1/2's off the head unit. I decided a SSA XCON 15" dual 2ohm in a ported enclosure off a Hifonice 1500wrms @1ohm would polish it off. (They where very budgeted so the hifonics amps seem to be great performers for the price), I'm building my first ported box after multiple sealed boxes and this is what I have to work with space wise. 32.5W x 20H x 14.5 deep. Calculator gives me 4.4 is cut and 4.2 after sub displacement. I figured a slot would eat into that to much so thinking aeroported. Sub and port will have to face forward. Using the calculator it's giving me 1 4" aeroport at 6" long roughly. I felt that didn't seem like enough port so wanted your guys opinions and advice.. btw electrical is good 215amp alt (ambulance) and two batts maybe adding third
