Box for a Cerwin Vega stroker

can somone tell me the mesurements for a stroker 12D. the below specs are out of the manual for the optimum enclosure, tuning freq. is 45 hz.

box volume is 2.70 ft cubed (net) + .15ft cubed for driver displacement + port displacement.

i want to go with a slot port, 4"x12" and the port lenth needs to be 17.75".

total box volume is 3.34ft cubed.

can someone make me some measurements for these parameters? or is there a better frequency to tune it to, id rather have it sound a little better than be a little louder even tho i know this is not a sq sub.

i have 42" wide to work with, and id like to keep the height about 16". this is going in the back of my impala wagon, so depth isnt much of an issue.

45hz isnt really that great for daily driving IMHO...you might want to try ~35hz, and if you dont like the sound cut the port down...

thank you, that why i figured i would ask. what dimensions for a box tuned to 35 hz thats 42" wide and about 16" tall?

the box is 3.32 cuft(external) 2.698cuft(internal)

42w x 15h x 12d

its slot ported...3w x 13.5h x 20d(L shaped) tuned at 38hz

now from the graph this thing should hit real nice

thanks 80, only 1 question, how do i measure the lenth of the port? on the short side of the turn, down the middle?

using that pic as a reference, i got 8.75" for the horizontal piece of the part, and 7.5 for the vertical piece.
