for my ssds i just cut a board the size of my passenger window and perminantly mounted them there. sealed = rear slide window closed. ported = rear slide window open

i did some research and mounting boards actually take away 3.5 dbs. i made a big pile of fresh silicone on my floor and threw my BTL on it, then tie wrapped it for extra support.

i mounted a ceiling fan in my cab to keep the coils cool. but tin foil sounds effective too. i've heard that smearing fresh cow shit on the dustcap can gain splz as well.
