If any of you guys are interested in a box design let me know. I enjoy messin around with the 3D Sketch programs. Just let me know what kinda dimensions you want and if you want a ported or sealed enclosure. I haven't did anything complex yet, but I will try anything.

Here is one I did earlier for myself...

and then another just messin around...

About to build a slot port for my friend's 15", haven't finalized the design yet. Maybe you want to mess around with this one:

Height = 15" Maximum

Width = 34.5" Maximum

Depth = 17" Variable, probably end up around 17"

Shooting for 3 cubes after vent and sub displacement (0.16 cu ft), maybe 34hz tuning.

Ok box designed lemme know if you like it. Took about less then 2 hours. I was bored =p. I have the *.SKP file to send you if you want it. Just need an e-mail where it can be sent. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smokin.gif.f1dc8d2acb1809e863ebd6a47eaa0d45.gif

Rofl I almost forgot to see if your sub would fit lol. Mounting dep is 6 1/2". I just check and you will have 1/16" between port on bottom and speaker magnet. Sweet it will fit.

That's not sufficient clearance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Thanks for the effort Rcnshoe but that exceeds the width. Have to stick too:

Height = 15" fixed

Width = 34.5" Fixed

Depth = 17" Variable, probably end up around 17"

It's a 15" sub too.

What direction for the sub is best in a trunk car where the seats don't fold down?

um... what exactly do you think the airspace and tuning of this box is?
He's looking for 3cf @ 34Hz, I hope you weren't shooting for those numbers...
http://www.carstereo.com/help2/Articles.cfm?id=31That should help me from here on out. I was wonderin how to do slot ports. I was using the dimensions given for a round port for a slot port. I knew it didn't look right, but now I realize that was because it wasn't right. Oh well. That's one way to learn.
You've heard me say it before, so I don't have to preach to you Ion (obviously //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ), but 3D design =/= enclosure design. Why won't people learn this? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I'm just havin fun with the program. I may be wrong with the enclosure characteristics, but I'm still learning. Could one of you guys tell me the airspace of this box and what it is tuned to? I tried to get it how I wanted it, but I don't know exactly how to determine.

about 3.25cf net tuned to ~29Hz, but the port area is abysmal.

Like PV said, do not try to design in Sketchup, you will fail. All Sketchup is is a "make it into a pretty picture" program.
