i have decided to not put the box in my back seat instead i put it in the hatch of my 94 formula. the problem is the box ed has designed will not with in the trunk.

in my trunk i have 24*12*18 to play with, i have more but in order to try to save some work ill make it a rectangle and just fit it in the well of my trunk. the sub i have picked is a Elemental Designs 13Ov.2 Subwoofer. i will make it out of 3/4 inch mdf. here is the specs page of the sub and the suggested box designs http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=35

i would like it to be a ported box at 30 hz as per their suggestion.

can any one help me?

i just dont under stand how to do it in win isd. dont get what volume i use(with or with out port volume taken out) if i use the volume without the port vol taken out(with the sub vol taken out) i get a 49.29 long port (how the h3ll do i do that?).

i used the tutorial at the top and i got a box of 14.5*25.44*11 and a port length of 41.93. that is the exact. can i round to a less exact number?

and how do i make the port length 41.93?

can someone check me on this?

i did and it gave me an error which makes me believe that with those dimentions you can't build it in a rectangular shape

thanks for looking i talked with ngsm13 and he says i should use a full length 4" aeroport and make my box 14.5x30x11 and that will tune me to about 30.3 Hz(close enough i wont notice).

well now that i got this design figured out what building supplies do i need?

i know i need wood glue( i hear titebond is the best), and screws of some sort(please suggest me a type and size). i see people usuing silicone caulk do i need to use it? and what type of sealing caulk should i buy?

anyone have a good box building tutorial?

well update i just got back from homedepot with titebond II, 1 5/8" course thread drywall screws and 4 good pieces of wood and 2 bad.

i messed up in telling them dimensions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif **** telling 13 insted of 14.5(good thing i have extra from the sheet i bought).
