Box Design Help for 4 RE SE 12s in a 2 Door Blazer

Hello,

Ive built many boxes, with mixed success.

Im throwing this out there, to see what comes back. I can compensate for designs, if you have refs or a reputation that shows you know what you are doing. Im running 4 RE SE 12 D2 Subs off of a RF T20001BD (Benched at 2880 RMS @ 1 ohm, which it will be used at). I have a 300 amp EA Alt and 3 yellowtops, the power is there. Looking at kind of a small box however, due to the truck being on air ride there has to be an allowance for air tanks and such.

I have these max dimensions:

25" From Seat to Tailgate

36" Between wheelwells

and id kinda like to keep it below the rear seat line at 19", this is flexible, but like i said, id really like to keep it there.

Box options are basically limitless, im not afraid of a 3-4 week box build if its complicated (Like a bandpass or something....)

I just want it loud to the ear, and to get low (as i can with 12s :/ )

Musical loudness along with clarity are essential. I could care less about SPL numbers anymore, been there, done that.

I would prefer subs up, ports up. Im open to suggestions (other than subs facing the tailgate, itll rattle no matter how much sound deadner i fill it with....) Im leaning towards a bandpass with a plexi window and mounting my amp on top, as it is rather large as well.

Shoot me some suggestions, im always listening.

Thanks.

Car in case anyone was curious:

You dont have much room, before port displacement you're looking at less than 2 cubes per sub, so after, you're looking at maybe 1.5, if you are trying to save some of that space for other equipment as well, you're just not looking at a very optimal enclosure for the subs being ported. Now for spl, this can be a good thing if you design for it, but for sq as it seems you're looking for, not exactly ideal. I'd go sealed, or go with two SX's on that much power instead of the SE's, if that's a possibility

Nice truck man. Looks real clean. I actually have that whole xtreme kit , a RAW rollpan, and an Envoy front end just waiting for it to get painted. But props on your truck.

As far as the enclosure goes, i dont mind losing some degree of SQL. You say the SPL will be better in a smaller enclosure, and thats fine. Im just actually looking for some enclosure ideas, even with the little space i have.....

So now on to your box. If you could add 1"-2" (20"-21") to the height of the box, you'd be golden. Then you'd have the 2cubes per that you'd need. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Also, my best results were subs up, port back or Subs up and port to the pass side.

I can give up an inch or 2... how big would a bandpass have to be? like i said, i gotta put this amp somewhere and its pretty **** big.... id like to make a bandpass with a plexi top or something, maybe have external ports go out and around the back seat and fiberglass it into the back arm rests... never seen that done...
