A buddy of mine wanted to know if he could get 8 12 kicker comps in an extended cab f150 ... the thing is he doesnt want a wall .. he wants to stack box on top of box , port in the middle//.. So a single box on bottom , and another box on top of that one... 4 subs behind the passanger seat, 4 behind the driver... and port in the middle, i told him it was a bad idea and he would probably get much better results doing 4 12s in a single box fired up port forward but he wants all 8..

So will they even fit ?? they require 2. X cubes per sub for ported, and like i said i told him there is NOOOO way your gonna fit 16+ cubic feet in a NON WALL behind the seat.. so what do you all think ??

I have the same year truck and model. I'd go sealed with all 8.
u sure man?? he wants spl .. 8 12s in the cab of a truck SHOULD be loud nomatter what, but those subs ( oddly enough ) require like over 3 cubes sealed..???.... He will NOT do a wall after all ive stressed to him .. he ONLY will do 2 stacked boxes center port .. i have no idea why , even after i tried to tell him i could build him a wall of 4 12's that would destroy what he wants to do .. but its his truck...

He THINKS he has 18 cubic feet to work with , with NO wall And NO sealing up.. ugh , is there anything i can tell him?

I usede to have 2 of those and no they are good at 1.5 sealed. I have an F-150 also and all i can say is WALL... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

12cF sealed would be fine for them.
so i got a few guys now on the sealed wagon... well if he absolutely wants all 8 what do i tell him.... I might be able to sway him on the sealed ported thing , but he will insist on 2 seperate enclosures stacked... so in you alls opinion 4 subs sealed in each enclosure stacked, what should i even start with ?? 4 subs... 1 sealed box at 6cf?

Something like that...

oh and DB ... how much actual footage is even behind the seats in that truck... he thought he coud do 24 and i laughed... i said about half that

Tell him to take out everything but his driver seat and he could fit 12 in the bed 8 in the back and 4 beside him...
