I have a 13" Focal 33A Access sub as a gift from the gf. I'm going to do a single sub and wanting to do a sealed enclosure. I have no clue about box tuning. I'm wanting to have a box with the sub facing the rear of the truck and have it walled off for a nice clean look. I have about 18" of height to work with and roughly 30" of width. Depth isnt as issue but i dont want it taking up alot of the trunk. And its for a 2003 Acura TL-S

Here are the sub specs i could find...

330mm (13") subwoofer.

65mm (2-1/2") v.coil.

156mm (6") magnet.

Max. power handling: 800W.

Nominal, power handling: 400W.

Sensitivity (2.83 V/1m): 92dB.

Frequency response: 30Hz-1.5kHz.

Developed for 30 to 45 liter bass-reflex enclosures

Thats all i have to go off of.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any ideas?

well the trunk is huge but like i said, i dont want it to take up the whole trunk. Depth can go up to 12-15" and still be fine. But it has to be about 15 high and 15 wide to fit the sub itself, so if it was 15 deep that almost 2 cubic feet correct? Which is big for that sub i think

15Hx15Wx15.75D would be ~1.5ft^3 internal volume, but that doesnt take into account sub displacement.

Is that something like what you want?

Net volume would be around 1.35 or so.

I can build this for you if you are interested. Or, I can get the all of the measurements so you can do it yourself. Just lemme know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

That would be great if you could get me the measurements. A local shop wants $200 to do it. How would i go about making a wall so the box and amps are completely hidden?

Something like this......

You build the box and put it in your trunk.

Then, get something cheap like cardboard or somethin and make a pattern for the front board. Cut the pattern out into whatever board you are using. Carpet the board and put it in front of your box. And it looks like in the picture they mounted the sub onto the front board. I would do a cutout and have carpet on the front of the box so you have a two tone look and you dont have to mount the sub on your front board.
