Box construction woes

Each sheet (based on ¥82:$1) is about $30... this is going to be one expensive box.

Any advice on any techniques (other than gluing two sheets together then building)? I'm afraid that if I did that it would split when I screw two pieces together.

It depends on how large the enclosure is I think. I would go ahead and build it with one layer and internal bracing, if when the glue dries, you hook it up, and it flexes, then you can add more exterior layers.

If you do 1/2 MDF, I think you should just do a good amount of bracing. I wouldn't imagine you'd have too much flexing with 350w total. But you could brace the inside of the box kind of like a frame.

SD-1's aren't going to tear your box apart if you do 1/2" with a good deal of internal bracing(basically no more than a foot between brace points). Go with a double baffle and flush mount them while you're at it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

for a 4 cubic foot box I would double up on the 1/2" that's just too big a box for just 1/2" even with a lot of bracing. I could understand for 2 10's but 4 I would double up on it.
