box concept

I think this would look ****** with the subs inverted. I don't normally like the look of inverted setups, but something about your design makes me think it could look cool with the right subs.
There's not enough space between the boxes, plus I don't like inverted baskets unless they've gone through a few beautification processes, and I'm not feeling like painting 'em up.

bump.

update on the amp,

uboat_backlit.png

I decided to mount the amp on some sanded plexi glass (per pro-rabbit's recommendation) and illuminate that, so it would appear to glow.

It's hard to see, but there is a gap between the fore-most ring around the amp and the angled sheet, I'll probably end up putting those flexible LED strips in the crack there.

this is pretty much the finished design though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
imho, this will be the best design, both shown, or mentioned. not only more rigid with the "L" cut-out, but better driver spacing (from personal experience) what will matter a big deal, though, is the spacing from the ports to the rear gate. my understanding of how it works with the faced-firing drivers, is that the 2 waves compress in to a stronger focal pressure, resulting in a better developed, higher strength wave coming from the area, rather than mean cabin compression. i have also found the "sweet-spot" for the ports from 2-4" wide is 3 to 7" from the rear gate, sometimes as much as 9" when firing upward

There's plenty of room, believe me, I'm actually considering redoing my design, I havent decided yet though.
