The fellas over at SSA might enjoy this one...

This box is 2.45 cubes @ 33hz for a 12" SSA ICON. Customer wanted a flared port as well as a nice raised SSA logo on the back. So what I decided to do, was use 1/2" MDF to make the logo out of. Ran a 3/8" roundover bit over it to give it a nice rounded edge. Was a little worried that I wouldnt be able to carpet over it, and not get any wrinkles, but it turned out to be not so bad.

I actually almost forgot to add the logo to the enclosure. I was just ready to carpet the back panel when I remembered it. So thats why you dont see it installed prior to carpeting.

Hey Fish, is there a reason you dont round off the inside of the port also(like the outside of the port) just wondering? is it a functional reason? looks awsome though

Are you asking why I dont flare the port bend on the inside too? No real reason I guess. But you probably wont notice a difference, so there is no real reason to charge more.

Thanks to everyone else. The logo was cut with a jig saw, then sanded a little by hand. I didnt quite get it finished like I wanted to last night, so I will finish it up tonight.

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
