box build for my s10

yeah going to use schedule 40 pvc pipe to make 2 spacers to send a bolt thru each one and the plexi making sure it goes through the wood on the box to attach.... then of cousre the amp will be spaced from the plexi so i can run the wires inbetween the plexi and amp
Nice, make sure you paint the PVC with the box...will help hide it if need be.

most likely will give them a few coats of paint even though going to have them hide as best i can. will be messing around with placement tonight. i also picked up new spacers for inbetween the amp and plexi at the mounting points.... like i said tonight will be messing with placement etc plus need to take measurements to see how long of bolts i need. have an idea but want to double check. its coming along slowly....i can somewhat see the light lol.

Box looks great so far! I'm eager to see this complete with the floating amp and all...
thanks alot. i am eager as well to see this box get done. its simple but yet will have that custom flare to it more than any of the boxes that i have done.

Can't imagine how great this set up, Good Luck to you dude, Hope you can get it great.
thanks as well. i am hoping i can make it happen as well lol

Its "simple" by design...but fiberglass/body filler work is almost an art form. Its kind of like sculpting. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I kind of like it actually. Just not practical to make such an enclosure for my current build. 2

i agree. i like doing the fiberglass part, but i hate doing the body work lol.

yeah fiberglass enclosures arent for everyone. i enjoy doing them for the show aspect

test fitted the placement of the plexi and the spacers i got.... gives you an idea of how the amp rack with flow.

then the spacer comparison for inbetween the amp and plexi.... i may have to look for something alittle wider.

not that it is mounted i get to take it back off and wetsand the box some more as well as get the port hole cut out before laying some primer down.... trying to wrap this thing up but slow process lol.

well i wetsanded with 320 then 800 then primed this beast. i got 3 coats on it and then noticed a few areas that need some spot potty, so taking care of those spots and then will wet sand the box with 400 then 800 and start the priming process again.
