box build for my s10

well i figured since i started on my box today(didnt get far due to plans) i would start a thread showing what i have got going on for my 96 s10....

the parts to be installed....

subs and amp - Cadence 2 s2w8s and Cadence Csa5000.1 amp(1200w x 1 @ 1 ohm)

wiring - SQ 0 awg wire kit

the box - 2.16 cubes w/ a 4" port tuned @ 35 hz

false floor(wires in picture are my old wires...just havent taken them out yet)

still need to get the sides, sub rings, and amp rack done for the skeleton of the box and then i can start the glass work. it will be a slow build since i work full time and when i get home i have maybe an hour of sunlight to work. i know critisim will come and i like to hear it, but my tools for this build include a jig saw, power drill, and a palm sander. my work bench is a big rubbermaid container lol.

no it will be ported with 1 4" port tuned @ 35 hz.... just havent added the port yet. the port placement looking at the box will be on the left side wall(passenger side of the truck)

thanks. i started with exterior first since i got it bone stock about 7-8 years ago and over the years it has turned out the way it has....little by little. cant complain either since its a daily driver and show truck which i have taken home 3 trophies at big shows(slamfest and lno memorial show) here in florida. having fun with it but hoping in the next year or so to get a new project or something i can drive daily and tear this truck done. shall see.....

If that's the case I'd face the subs forward and the port loading off one of the side walls of the truck, it's there's enough space. I had good result with sub up/port side in my exploder, and I've heard alot of people report similar stories.

yeah there is enough room.... it would be boucing off the side extended cab wall, the port. i will have to mess with positioning when i get the rings built and see what i like, but i may go facing forward. i thought about maybe inverting but that came and went.
