Box Build ----Fiberglass & MDF

Grab you a piece of paper or posterboard and cut it to the edges of the wood and where the 2x4 was marked at.

Now flip it to the other side and trace the position of the 2x4.

Should be a perfect image of the other side.

Drill 2 pilot holes so you can secure the 2x4 from underneath and your good to go.

This will allow you to cut the center of the ring out, remove the 2 screws from underneath and it will lift out.

Nice work so far man...You never left me your number //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'll probably be around friday or wednesday depending on a few things...

As you might have noticed, the center of my rings are still attached. I routered about 3/4 of the way through and when I am ready, I will follow that groove with an air saw. Keeps the insides clean with no tape waste.

Here is a shot of the rings placed and the port set in the center to see how it would look.

Looked good to me.

I'll PM you my number as soon as I finish this thread.

We have all heard the rumours and tall tales about painting the ports to get dB's right?

Well one tale that doesn't circulate alot, because those that know want to keep it hush hush, is the Butterflies make BASS

When I found a polydex material with butterfly beads on it, there was no way I could pass that up. So I bought all 8 yards they had.

I know.............your jealous.

I have a question...what do you use to make the router go straight. I have the hardest time with the first part of a roundover. In the middle I do okay...it's just the starting that kills me. I am thinking of plunging in the middle and going out.

Stretched the material over the thing.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but that could have been cause I had an extra set of hands helping me.

And a shot from the rear looking through the box connector piece.

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
