Are you hardcore set on the Boston Pro60's or Z6? If not for the price my suggestion would be to check out Focal. Their K2 line is priced to the Z6's and their Utopia is a little above that, but they make some speakers that to me sound much better than Boston. Checkout something with a lot of mind range and I will often find the Boston's lacking. That of course is my personal experience though. I would suggest at least give it a listen. If you are doing this because of getting a good deal, check out the Polyglass or Access by Focal, I've had many people agree that even the entry level components by Focal sound better than the Boston Z6.
Forgot to add, to me Focal tweeters sound much better as well. Boston uses aluminum tweeters which can very easily be way too bright and have a tinny sound to them. It's something hard to describe in a forum but easy to identify in comparison. Even on entry level Focal uses reverse dome tweeter with a phase plug and a surround to keep the accuracy of metal but give the more natural sound of silk tweeters. The phase plug help keep them from blasting. They also have some of the flattest responses for their tweeters. Alright, there are my two cents.

We are all here to learn. Not to mention its on topic so we both can take something from it
In regards to the Focals, I have listened to them before and liked them. I am not deadset on any certain set, thats my problem mainly. I just need to get something and be done with it. I am tired of looking/researching and not enjoying.
I am going to Tweeter tomorrow to audition them side by side, I'll just have to trust the ole' ears.
Thanks for the input, I have been considering the K2P's from Focal.

the Z's are a very natural sound, it's hard to describe. if you compare it as some speakers are running 90 mph through a forest, then the Z's are more of a graceful, peaceful walk through the park on a nice day. very smooth and easy on the ears, and even though they are an aluminum dome tweeter, are not fatiguing, but very detailed and accurate. no matter what kind of music i throw at them, they sound great.
and no, they won't rip your face off like the pro's will

You could do that. You'd get 200 watts at 3 ohms and would have the flexiblity, but would be limited in power. Re-read Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch post on biamping. Doubling the power would give you a 3db gain which would hardly be detectable, but you would gain the headroom which is a very nice thing to have!! I would personally find a nice 250 x 2 for a good price and call it day, but you already have the amps, so......

Right, forgot about that. Must be why I never liked the slash series amps all that much....other than that they are very nice amps. I'm sure it will be a step up from my Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1's, although besides the so so midbass aren't that bad of a set for the money. I was running the infinitys off one amp, so i am getting better comps and doubling the power that ='s audio bliss right? I hope so. I am tired of debating and researching, haha.
