Just need some kind of info about these amps, my boy had a 1500W Class D mono like this and bought the Boss IQ3KD.1(3000W Class D Mono)

The 1500W one was seem'd purty good for what it is, just wanted info on the Boss line of amps.

Thanks.

I actually considered the 1500D Directed amp but was told to stay away from refrub. amps. I was told they never was the same after being burnt...

Refurbs are tested at the factory to perform how they should. Also, when I bought my Viper 2500 from them, there was a six month warranty direct from DEI included, not just the 90 days they list.

Many people on this board run refurbs, Id bet a high percentage of them would recommend it.

I have seen alot of high quaility installs using Boss class D amps that sounded great, I would be weary of their regular 2channel amps but I wouldn't hesistate to use one of their sub amps, you just need to be aware that they overrate their amps power output considerably.

Wow, both those Directed amps are great prices.

In some ways I think a refurb is a BETTER way to go than new. If the amp had a glitch that led to it being damaged - chances are they became aware of the problem, and improved it during the refurbishment. On a tight budget I think it's a good way to go. Especially when the alternative is Boss.

I agree with most, Boss amps are cheap, but good value at the same time. They seem to last, and most of the cheap qualities shine through in the finer points of sound and power. It will get you by, but you will be wanting more as time passes!
