Boss CX154DVC FRIED

Hello I am new to the forums here. I recently bought a 15" BOSS Audio CX154DVC subwoofer. I wired it in Parallel considering its a dual voice coil for two ohms. I wired it to my amp which is a BOSS RIOT 1100m. I forgot to turn the input level way down, and when I started the audio system, I fried my sub. I am currently waiting for a replacement from Wal-Mart. Should I try the new one? Or should I buy a different one? What did I do wrong that this one fried? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

boss and walmart is the first thing you did wrong. 2nd is your gain settings. I'd recommend you do some reading around this site before you blow money on other walmart junk that will eventually become paperweight(does not last long anyways).

Search up how to set gains with a digital multi meter
