Boss BV 8950

Hi there this is my first time posting on here so bear with me. I bought a indash DVD player with a 7 inch removable screen, a Boss BV 8950. I have a couple questions about it if anyone has expirence with them.

I bought and IPOD Touch and I have it hooked up through the rear audio in RCA cables. My questions are this- Is there any way to control the ipod with the radio? I had a Kenwwood that i could do that but i dont have it anymore. There is a male(i think its the smaller plug) USB on the front of the screen and i dont know if that will do anything for me or not. My other option so i can see video is to buy the ipod cable that split into the three RCA hook ups but i doubt that will let me control it. It is a pain to get in the glovebox to change a song ya know.
