K then what would be a decent amp for a reasonable price for 500 watts or less watts don't need anything huge

Boss amps are not the best brand of amps. Try a Rocksford Fosgate or a Quantum Audio solar series 1500 watt if you want alot of watts.........

Well i got a hifonics Merlin warrior 450 Class D amp i thought bout giving here and get me a new jl amp for my new 10w6v2 that i am goin to install in a few days

now i have never had a problem with that amp i had hitting at a 140 hooked up to two 12w6v2s in a ported box

check my funky pups thread out. i plan on hitting a 190 with a boss 3000 watt mono amp. that amp should be good for at LEAST 178.925 db.

Boss is ok for a low cost, low power amp, but I think you can do better for ~$80 shipped.

If you can get the sub svc 4 I'd recommend the profile ca600 at profilecaraudio.com. About 400w bridged into 4 ohms (the boss is probably lucky to top 300), comes with a 1 yr profile warranty, and cheaper than the boss.

Nothing wrong with a good, used rf 250a2 either.
