Bose system- Head unit swap

I was wondering if you can do a headunit swap without replacing the factory speaker/amp. I know that the Bose is all 2Ohm drivers so they can't be ran to a new headunit, but is there a wiring harness for this that maybe runs the signal to the Bose amp?

This is a 1998 GMC ENVOY that has seemingly 1 Bose amp located in the passanger-side rear cargo area, behind a panel.

Mt question now is, do you use a regular wiring harness too? or do you only need, +,-, turn on and etc?

youll need a wiring harness, and yes u can swap out HU's without worrying about the speakers and amp.

I just switched out my stock bose system with all the stuff I had from my old car over the period of a couple weeks so I was running the stock speakers off of the new head unit and had no problems at all. I also used one of those $10.00 wire harness adapters, with no problems. Just make sure you hook up the remote turn on because all the speakers have little amplifiers, at least mine did.
