well for you that might seem like it........i want to stay away form a 9-5 desk job, i want to do something worth while and i want to help people..............i think this is gonna be a awesome thing for me

I'm avoiding a report and I'll give you my perspective on things real quick.

I would expect that someone who has never done drugs in their life to be at a different point in their lives than you are at currently. I mean, no drugs usually means no parties, and if you're not partying, you should be studying. Studying generally equates to good grades which generally equates to better post-high school opportunities than community college. Maybe you just really wanna be a firefighter. More than likely, it's a good direction for your life to go in based on the options you have right now. I highly doubt it would be the option you chose should you be able to do anything you want. So, basically, you missed out on a large, very exciting, very worthwhile part of your life to still arrive at the same point as many "pot heads." Ok, I'm done.

BTW, firefighting is an awesome job. 24 hours on, 48 hours off, and if you get hired at a boring station, you can whack off all day. Cool!!!

like i said before im staying away from booze cuz of a bad accident with two uncles of mine, i guess they made a mistake so I dont have to

(just read the whole thing through) im going to go to a CC cuz of money issues, i come from a upper-middle class but I think its just a better idea to get my general ed done with like $20 bucks per unit (as long as they are transferable)

Yeah man, I'm all for the drug free thing. Go you! Really, you'll be better off in the long run, but what I'm saying is that you missed out on the genuine high school experience.

So, money issues become irrevelant when a good GPA and a nice ACT score come into play.

Really bro, you should've been more decisive. Parties or homework. You chose neither. It's dissapointing. Really.

For me, being a firefighter is a plus on two fronts. Im not in an office and im helping people. MY goal in my career is to be satisfied then the monetary issue is second. I dont want to be some web developer (no offense) and make a difference by making one more website to join the billions out there right now. Plus if i was in the reserves, i could keep in shape and be doing my country some service.

Ok, appearently I worded it wrong and got some panties twisted.

I'm just saying do not act like you're better than anyone else, just because you want to be a firefighter.In fact, that's great.Just don't bash someone who may or may not make more money than you just because they may or may not smoke pot.

i think im better than them, well most of them....some are smarter than me (like this one asian kid i know) but most of them are stupid and dont even try in school they just bother everyone which makes it way harder on me

THose are probably the people you and other anti druggies on this forum are referring to. I socially smoke, but i still have my priorities straight. Studying to be a mechanical engineer at cal poly.
