Wrong, but I can guess I know why you say false. Because you "know" somebody who smokes and has their priorities right? That is what is false. It's just your perception that sees this person as being on the right track, when in reality, and in their own mind, they are struggling to figure out who they really are, their goals in life, and basically struggling to find their "existence" in life.

some people can drink and do drugs responsibly, others can't. those that can't are stupid.

first amendment, freedom of speech. this keeps alot of idiots from saying a bunch of stupid sh*t all the time. if they were allowed to say whatever, that could inhibit other students from learning.

4th amendment, searches and seizures. the school has the right to search any locker, its their property, the students are just using it. the school has the right to search every student that walks into the school if they want to. back when my school had a teachers mailbox blown up they searched everyones bags for bombs.

its to insure the saftey of the students and to provide a healthy learning environment.

there were several bombings, all of them were teachers at our school. it was very possible that a student did the bombings. the school searched the bags to make sure that a bomb would not be set off in the school, also to find any incriminating evidence, etc.

the person responsible for the bombings was a student.

You're ill informed. Those that cannot drink and drug responsibly are known as addicts and alcoholics. Alcoholism is a disease, much the same as cancer. When your dad contracts prostate cancer, I doubt you're opinion of him will be that he is "stupid." Although it may be stupid for an alcoholic to have that first drink, at that point, he'd be making the same "stupid" decision as the person that can responsibly drink. After this decision is made, the addict will no longer be in control.

Aside from that, responsible drinkers/users still face the same limits as alcoholics when it comes to success.

I have 7 months of experience in a residential treatment facility along with 7 weeks of experience in a wilderness program.

What conflict of interest are you talking about? I don't see myself making any biased statements nor taking sides. It's understandable that you make these comments because I have a different opinion than you, though.

i dont know that being stupid inhibits someones success in life. You can be "stupid" and still make it far in life, it all depends on how you play the cards you are dealt.

i dont support doing drugs that are sythetically made like cocaine, crack, meth...those are the kinds of drugs that affect peoples lives and familys because of addiction. Im not saying marijuana cant/wont affect a persons life, its all about setting limits, there is a difference between use and abuse...

So how does one drug responsibly exactly? We're talking about weed and narcotics here, not OTC or Rx meds...

Alcoholism is a disease, much the same as cancer.

Alcoholism is more psychological than physiological. It does "run in the family" but it is 1000% more of a mind-state than a physical addiction.

Yeah and where are you drawing your assumptions? So if i know that about 7 of the top 10 people in my class smoked pot regularly this doesnt attest to anything? All my friends smoke and they are either in UCLA, CALPOLY SLO, BERKELY and so on and so forth? The people you talk about are like the white, bob marley wannabe. Dont get your ideas mixed up.
