Bobybuilders: Come hither

so how many of you guys take these supplements and whatnot? i just dont think they help all THAT much. I mean, i have friends taking supplements, and maybe they are using them wrong, but they cant keep up with a lot of other guys that dont use supplements.

Im not trying to get all that big anymore, but im 180lbs, max bench is around 300, max clean is around 320, and parallel squat around 400, and thats without supplements. I did use those high calorie weight gainer shakes for a while, and i guess that did help benefit me some when building. I got up to about 210lbs, then when i stopped taking it i lost most of my fat and im sitting right around 180 with the same strength.

im not saying its impossible to be puttin up 300+ at 16, but its very rare. and the majority of people couldnt get to that no matter how hard they trained. the only way its possible is with amazing genetics or steroids. which is why i think most people who have done that did it with the use of steroids but wont admit it. think about it, if you start liftin at 10 or 13 or whatever (liftin hard), it stunts your growth, bone growth, muscle growth, everything. sure youll get more muscle, but youll never be able to reach to potential you normally would had you waited. youd have to be someone who pretty much stopped growing at 12 and was already enormous.

to the OP::Steroids ftl... do u have any idea what they do to the delicate hormonal balance in ur body? Even once cycle will **** u up for... quite some time if not for longer. IF ur body is supplemented with "artificial" steroids, the body will stop producing them trying to reach homeostasis [balance] of its hormones etc...

mmmeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh....
thats what post cycle therapy is for. i use 6-oxo, DHEA, and tribulus to bring my natural hormonal balance back in order

WTF are you talking about?

When I was 13, I was 5'4" and about 185 pounds, so I was big, but that is how I am built. When got to 16, I was 5-8 and 220 and was doing well over 300, why you ask because of dedication! And I dont have amazing genetics, in fact, I have pretty piss poor genetics. I mean right now I am 5-10 270 or so and I think I hold my weight pretty good, but you wouldnt look at me and be like he has some good genes, lol! I just started lifting again and wanted to see what I could do and I could barely get up 300 once. So I have to go back to this thing called dedication given my back holds up, which probably wont being I am in the worst shape of my life right now. My point is that given time, effort and eating healthy for the most part you can do that at 16. Hell my friend who was small as hell could get up 275 numerous amounts of times and he was 5-9 165 pounds, but he has been lifting as long as me, matter of fact he got me into it. I wish he was still around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

**** man, what kinda strict *** college do u go to? yeah its funny, cause theres guys at the gym on campus who are no lie like 180lbs and are ripped but not like jacked outta their mind. and theyre puttin up like 285 bench! ha ha, yeah thats natural. my buddys a personal trainer their too and he said hes seen guys come in and put up like 135, then a year later be puttin up 250 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
I was about 18 and weighed about 190 pounds and benched 335 with no supplements at all and lifting only 2 bench workouts per week. I went to the gym about once per week maybe twice per week and usually lifted around 225. But when i started going 2 - 3 times per week, i was lifting 275 & 335 in about a month. Some people are just naturally stronger.

And its pretty easy to go from lifting 135 to 250 within a year. Going from 250 - 350 is 5 times harder to do tho

ive taken a ton of supplements but for right now im taking what everyone should be taking that wants to gain some lean mass and put up some weight...no need for roids or pro hormones until youve done a cycle like this for quite some time

im taking:

ADAM mutivitamin

ON whey protein

BCCA powder

Green Magnitude creatine

some fish oils

Animal pump for energy and a nice pump during my workout

..and finally diet...i eat all day, 6-8 meals, high in protein, a few protein shakes a day, creatine at night and while im working out....

if your eating like a botomless pit and not gaining weight ur not eating enough...im intaking almost 400 grams of protein a day...2 gallons of water etc

Well the thing is, supplements are endorsed by pro bodybuilders, who are obviously huge and very lean and the companies that these guys are endorsed by really prey on the uneducated. They do whatever they can to make you think "****, he is taking that stuff and he is huge/strong so maybe I should too so I can get that big!?". The sad truth is, a LOT of supplements are plain bullshit. Nitrotech, muscletech, celltech are all perfect examples of overpriced bullshit.

Your basica nutritional supplements that are going to actually do what they should and are valuble to an athlete, bodybuilder etc are :

Protein-1-2g per pound of lean body mass every day (you dont have to spend a fortune on it either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

Creatine

And maybe a multi vitamin

A lot of other shit isn't really necessary IMO.

You know those guys in all those adds really don't even use supplements? The majority of profesional bodybuilders get virtually all of their nutrition from healthy whole foods in the right amounts adn at the right time, EVERY SINGLE DAY. Not to mention they are using anabolic steroids, (somtimes in huge doses) insulin, human growth hormone and anti estrogens that make aids patients gain weight.

All I am tryin to say is hard work, consistancy, intellegence and unrelenting drive are the main factors that are going to make you achieve your goals regarding bodybuilding or in LIFE for that matter, not these supplements that are run by the devil himself.....

Good to see this type of discussion going on here, bodybuilding is a hobby of mine.

Are you implying this is going to happen with the use of steroids at that age or just lifting itself will cause those effects you listed?

You guys realize that the world record for a 16yr old to bench press is like 400 right? And do you think they are natural...............?

Too bad there is no way to varify these lifts everyone claims, hell, in that case I DEADLIFT 13,763lbs!!!! BEAT THAT!! Lol.

I came across some Ergo Max LMG. Should I stack it with the leftover Superdrol I got? If so, and ideas on a cycle?
New superdrol or the old stuff?

The old stuff is harsh as hell but should add some weight to ya if you do everythign else right.

There is safer/more effective (but unfortunately illegal) ways of cycling though.

My advice would be to run the superdrol if you want, and make sure to take some NAC or milk thistle with it.

superdrol and phera-plex are "pro-horomones" or "designer steroids" by anabolic xtreme. they were recently banned because they literally are steroids
they were smart when they first released them. I think by chemically altering them at the (I forget) carbon position and adding a methylated group to it they could call the steroid something else.

Ie I believe superdrol is methylated masteron or soemthign along those lines.

There was another "pro hormone" that was methandrostenolone as well.

um....you don't honestly believe that do you? REAL steroids are illegal as in contolled substance/felony, etc... The FDA would NOT let them produce/distribute them if they were real.
Read the hype in the ads: "highly anabolic" "anabolic like results" They "might" have some performance enhancing effects, but D-bol/test they are NOT //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

If it sounds to good to be true...it is. Bodybuilders as a whole are probably THE most gullible people on earth...
He was right actually, read above post. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
