Well the thing is, supplements are endorsed by pro bodybuilders, who are obviously huge and very lean and the companies that these guys are endorsed by really prey on the uneducated. They do whatever they can to make you think "****, he is taking that stuff and he is huge/strong so maybe I should too so I can get that big!?". The sad truth is, a LOT of supplements are plain bullshit. Nitrotech, muscletech, celltech are all perfect examples of overpriced bullshit. Your basica nutritional supplements that are going to actually do what they should and are valuble to an athlete, bodybuilder etc are : Protein-1-2g per pound of lean body mass every day (you dont have to spend a fortune on it either ) Creatine And maybe a multi vitamin A lot of other shit isn't really necessary IMO. You know those guys in all those adds really don't even use supplements? The majority of profesional bodybuilders get virtually all of their nutrition from healthy whole foods in the right amounts adn at the right time, EVERY SINGLE DAY. Not to mention they are using anabolic steroids, (somtimes in huge doses) insulin, human growth hormone and anti estrogens that make aids patients gain weight. All I am tryin to say is hard work, consistancy, intellegence and unrelenting drive are the main factors that are going to make you achieve your goals regarding bodybuilding or in LIFE for that matter, not these supplements that are run by the devil himself..... Good to see this type of discussion going on here, bodybuilding is a hobby of mine.
