Almost finished up with another one of my projects Ive had goin on lately, this one seemed worth while to post up. One of my buddies has a really nice beamer that he got last year and he wanted to transfer over the equipment he had from his last one.
He has a 13W7, it was in a pretty decent enclosure, double baffled but had nasty carpet on it but wasnt the right size for the trunk.
The 1000/1 that he has is wired up to the battery right in the trunk (stock the battery is located in a small compartment on the right side of the trunk) with 4ga. Grounded to the chassis at the batteries ground point. If he has dimming issues I am going to wire a small deep cycle battery in right on top of the stock one.
Theres a small storage spot in the trunk, theres basically a false floor cover that lays in the trunk and it folds up to reveal a small compartment. The amp is secured in there and I cut a new false floor out of 1/2 MDF to replace the factory cover, it will have a cutout in it for the top of the amplifier and it will be slightly counter sunk in.
The enclosure is ~3.0cube @ 32hz with about 30sq in of port. Upon measuring the trunk I found that we could get away with a ported enclosure with the dimensions I had. The box fits in absolutely perfectly in the trunk. The false floor follows the exact same lines as the trunk cutout for it and the enclosure lines up perfect on top fitting very snug in between the wheel wells.
Im going to put some small strips of an industrial velcro on the bottom of the false floor and enclosure as well.
Oh and the car is clean as hell btw, I didnt get any pics of it or the setup mocked up in the trunk but that just saves the good part for later //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Also has a nice set of BMW 19 inch wheels. And tint //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
Overall he wanted a very clean simple install that looked factory and was easy to access.
BTW he ordered a few yards of suede that I will be covering the enclosure and false floor with. More pics tommorow night when he brings it by so I can put it all in. Just teasers for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
