BMW 3 series immobilizer by pass help

Does any one know how to by-pass starter immobilizer on BMW 3 Series 318i man. yr. 2000 as transponder has stopped working so will not turn over (Dead..Ignition lights only) Trying to by pass alarm,immob. etc. so it will start on the key. Itm is not my key as this has had a new battery & been checked. Tried loads of you tube vids, but they are basically the same & not what I want. Can't use car until this is sorted & don't want to pay out hundreds £'s by having to take it to main dealer.
