BM's Installed ( PICS )

Loyd, even with Hoss's truck there and my Integra we would have had enough room for your Aveo too. Come to find out if you opt for an outdoor booth you can extend it all that you want as long as you use good judgement.

A little off topic, but I have been chatting with audiojunkies about getting a sub and was wondering what everyone thought on a single 12bm in a sealed box in a honda civic coupe--I need something that doesnt take up a lot of space and has some nice tight bass--will be feeding it 500w. Will this work for me? Thanks

Dave

Should work, my subs are ported, so I wouldnt be able to tell you how it is sealed

However, from what I've heard of them ported, they sound really good with rock and rap, I think you would like it alot.

Theres someone else on here w/ a 10BM ( I forgot his name haha ), he was going sealed now hes going ported I think.

Nick from SI says BM's are geared more for ported, just because of their low Q.

Lukas from AudioJunkies is a good guy, he won't steer ya wrong at all.

Yea I keep seeing them in ported setups, I just cant go that route. I have a potentialy good deal on a Rainbow 12" Vanadium Subwoofer that would be about the same price as a BM just cant find much info about them. Your definetly right about Lucas being a good guy though, best customer service I have ever had on a previous order that USPS screwed up--he made sure to keep me in the loop

Dave

Mhmm, the BM would sound good, just not sure about the loudness. Granted it is a BM, so its gonna be loud. I mean come on, ITS A BABY MAG.

Ask Lukas if he's done / seen a BM sealed ( prolly has ), and I know Nick from SI has, get they're oppinions.

Yeah, I heard jntars mag in a 1.7 sealed w/ 600w going to it, and that was **** nice for SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I wanna hear it now that hes got 1100w going to it

I'm not sure, the mag I heard was 300w underpowered and sealed, and my Bm's can get around 900 a piece from my sundown ported

Im gonna actually see how many watts im feeding my subs, and im gonna adjust my amp / HU accordingly.

the Mag I heard sounded great, eveything from basscity, to linkinpark sounded great. No let downs at all.

the BM's are great sounding as well. Whenever I show them to my friends, the first thing they always say is "**** that sounds good". The Low's arent exactly perfect, but that could be my box. I'll tell ya more once I figure out how many W's they're getting.

mags and BM's are both great drivers, no freakin doubt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I also plan on upgrading to 2 mags later on ( february, ish, hehe ), gotta get my frontstage set up though.

I've only turned my volume to 25, and whenever I drive for more than 7 minutes i get headaches //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And for how far away I am from my subs ( They're in my trunk ), and the way they face ( back bumper ), they get really freakin loud. I got mad cabin gain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BM's do just fine sealed up...it's just that they slam when ported. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif If you're after tight TIGHT bass, a BM won't let you down.

My mag did the same thing, the suspention just needs to loosen up a bit. It will get better in the next week or so. If you aren't happy we caan always make you another box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Hmmmmmm.... but if I could get a 12" Rainbow Vanadium Sub for the same price, based on price/sound whats the better deal. It just sucks because I am in Alaska and we dont have many off brands to hear before we buy.
