The whole bed is covered in black vinyl as well as the cut through, the only slightly visible thing will be the rounded edges of the front of the port....without a 3w LED flashlight. Everything is so dark when installed...and the bottom/top of the front chamber and port will be carpeted with a design in them. Hopefully he does not opt for another Caddillac symbol right?!

heh heh..... It don't matter with this setup. I've done painted wood, vinyl, carpet....they all get retarded several blocks away. I did carpet on the bottom to break up the monotony of the all-black vinyl. It just so happened to be what the guy asked for also. That particular shade of carpet would not have been my choice. I even tried to get him to break it up with factory matching tan vinyl. Customer is always right. If he isn't....I get paid to pull it and paid to do it in something else he wants instead.

I guess for daily driving it wont matter as much with a bit of carpet in the port

For the first time since '00 we won't be winning a title at world finals because we are not competing this year. I personally could give a sh!t less what they do on a meter. I'm building things to get violent. Can't pay me enough to work on SPL crap anymore. Not my interest. Every minute I spent working on our vehicle was a minute I was not making money.....actually a minute that I was contributing to spending money for when the van had to be taken around to point-accruing shows and world finals. The current way that shows are set up, nothing but a big a55 waste of time and money. I'll save the rest of the tangent for a later date.....I'm sure you catch my feelings for the validity of a dash measurement. I fully understand what it takes to get them and dash number built vehicles never equate to how loud the vehicles feel a block away. Customers that spend real money here, don't really care because they have things like making money on their mind rather than a 20 person gathering infront of two staging light poles.

Even world finals is no longer exciting except for the 30 second span after the "ready, set, go". After that, it's a b!tch and whine fest amongst a group of people that ALL sniff for loop holes on a daily basis. Not my idea of fun. Someone else is going to run the van this year I believe in Bass Race.....don't know, don't really care.
