Blew my sub. need suggestions.

I just blew my 12" type r and now i'm bassless. I need a new sub that can handle around 500 - 700 watts and one that doesn't break the bank. I like rap and reggae and pretty loud too. any suggestions?

well, I bought it used and had it for about 3 months. Then I had my ipod on shuffle and blueberry yum yum came on and that about did it.

Yeah type R's are cheap, you can probably find one on Craigslist.com if you don't wanna deal with shipping cost.

best suggestion is probably to watch your gains...

try craigslist.com. I found my type r on there for $100 and picked it up 10min from my house.

set your gains correctly and get another type R or kicker L7.

Look into the Mach 5 IXL they are around $200.

Don't let the fact that it's a 10'' scare you....it'll get loud. But I don't think 500 watts will do it any justice....700 on the other hand will be just fine.

Get an SSD with a copper coil. No way in hell you would blow it on 500-700rms.
