yeah, Ive tried store music, and i have my ipod hooked up to my alipne. Its good quality music.
What kinda readings should i get from my DMM when i test the ohms

You mean test when you are playing music?

It will varry cause of Imp rise. It will be different at every HZ

just turn the gain up, setting the gain with a dmm is weak sauce

I agree with you man, i set my nine for like 1200 watts, came out to like 34 or something. Gains were less than 1/4 of the way up. Doesn't get loud at all, the thing barely moves. Turn the gain up to about 3/8 of the way up and it shines. I say just set it by ear.......**** DMM!!

No, im talking about when my sub is unplugged from my amp. Just running the DMM to the speaker terminal..

just turn the **** gain up. All this setting gains with a dmm is weak sauce. I'm old school, i set gains by ear and never had a problem in over 20 years. Turn your hu up around 75%, then turn the gians up till you get distortion, then back the gain down a little. All this dmm crap is for rookies.

Yup. That's how I did it back in the 80's when I was installing. DMM =! Human Ear.
