Complete new system, tell me what you think! Im excited

Okay so as some of you know, when I first came onto this forum I was a dumbass when it came to car audio. Hence the speaker in the headrest for my pic LOL. I have been reading up and I think I have complied a system together that will really sound nice. Im looking for that overall great sound. Anyways im in the process of selling all of the old stuff(which is probably going to get me more than expected) and Im onto the new system which as follows:

Front stage: CDT Audio CL-S60A's- 110RMS, Got them for $99 shipped

Now for subs Im going with 2 Pioneer Premier 3004spl's, I want to put them in a very big ported box, so I can get them LOUD. I want to keep the SQ good, but I want them LOUD. I can get these on ebay for $280 shipped for the pair, but im trying to find them cheaper!

To power the 3004's I have decided to go with the Hifconics 1606D, I found one on ebay for $250 shipped. Anyone have any better suggestions besides this amp to power the 3004's?

For the rear I dont even know, probably something cheap around $50, not really focusing on that now.

What does everybody think?

Sounds like a pretty good system but I got a few suggestions you might want the comps in kick panels and the midbass in the doors, and tc sounds has some really good deals on subs right now that get loud and have great SQ.

Yeah thats what I meant, to put the 6.5 woofers in the doors, and the speaker in kick panels IF I even get the mini's, i will check out tcsounds, anyone else?

hey im not really sure if Im going to end up buying the 6.5 subs, but thanks for the advice...my main focus right now is to figure out which subs im acctually going to get, I was looking at the 3004spl's and im pretty much set on the hifonics amp, because for 1600 RMS for $250 shipped thats quite a deal(so I think)

I can get 2 3004's for $280 shipped on ebay, but id like to weigh my options, Im a SPL man, not so much SQ, but the 3004's are a good choice for both so...ehh

I'd get better midbass up front rather than subs... but that's just me...

also very big ported box and sq don't generally go together lol but I suppose it depends on your definition of really big... the box I have my 10" may be the size you want for a pair of 12"s...

sounds like your planning is pretty good. a few more things to look into and your setup is sounding pretty good. I think you need to understand boxes a little better and midbass from a sub may be ok. but if it was great sq guys would run little subs up front instead of midbass speakers lol.. some do I believe in addition to their midbass speakers so maybe your plan is better than I think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

kicker zx650.4 is a great amp, im sure you will love it!

Yeah I think I am officially going with the kicker 650, I think thats a great addition to the pair of CDT's ive already bought. $180 is not a bad price either, whether I plan to hook a pair of 6.5 woofers in the front, or plan to just power the rear with the amp...I think its a good decision to build piece by piece my new system... for my new car...hopefully

hey black maxima.. I was planning on doing that because a friend of mine had told me it sounds killer up front if you like bass...but im not sure if im going to have the space etc and all so im not 100% on that yet...

im not really a good SQ man... I like SQ but I do also like it very loud...but I dont want anything to be farting or sound terrible...so I was thinking of going 4-5 cf for the sub box, tuned to somewhere around 35-40? not really sure im still trying to educated myself on boxes, because i know that it is everything when it comes to sub output(and trust me i learned the hard way building a POS box earlier last fall)

They have IMO better sound quality that the pioneers, and they get real loud, and are alot cheaper RIGHT NOW. Look at the deals, im sure you wont be dissappointed

im sure they have great SQ, but both of their subs RMS equals 1 of the pioneers...
