Birch box build for tstephens11

[SavageBlackout 10+ year member]

This is the box i'm building for tstephens11 on here. It's 3.8 cubes net, with 46 sq inches of port tuned to 35hz. Material is 3/4" birch ply and its going to be stained with a cherry color. Should be sexy when it's finished. Sorry in advance for the blurry pics, they were taken with a phone.

I should be finished with this thing tomorrow, just have to caulk the inside, throw some bracing and the top piece on, then comes the sanding and the staining. More pics tomorrow

$40 a sheet compared to $25 for mdf around here

double the cost but less than 1/2 the weight and better accoustically. 11 or 13 ply birch is the best of the 2 by alot!!

yea its well worth the money for the smaller boxes i build

got some bracing in

Caulked and sprayed the corners to seal it up, and painted the port

Putting the top on

Sanding it down. I had to go pick up a couch at this stage, so tstephens11 handled it on his own, and it came out nicely

I got back in time to cut the holes for the subs

Everything is done except painting the top of the port and staining the box. The pics don't do it justice, it looks awesome in person. Should have pics of it finished tonight and maybe a vid
