bigger wire for big 3 or amp wire??/

I have 2 sets of wire, kicker 0/1 guage amplifier wiring kit cost $90 total and then I have a roll of 0/1 guage wire metra(raptor) 25feet for $30.

I compared the 2 wires and kicker is way bigger than metra roll and looks way better.

Then do I use the bigger kicker wire for the amp or big 3. I was thinking using metra 0/1 for big 3 and then kicker for the amps.

Or should I use kicker for big 3 and then metra 0/1 for amps

Actually current flows best through multiple strands of wire... for instance instead of using 1 gauge, use 4-5 strands of 8 gauge. Not to mention that there is more insulation per mass of wiring and heat can leave the wire much faster, drawbacks= takes more room and more wires to possibly rupture and ground out. However if you install cleanly, that won't likely happen.

idk but i would use the kicker for the amp and the metra for the big three since you have more of it and it was cheaper incase you f**** up. and you already have the hole kicker amp kit so thats what i would do.

A clean install would be the 1/0 wire, which he already has...not 5 runs of 8 awg.

It might be a good idea to learn a thing or 2 about car audio before you start talking.

Oh and for the OP, I'd run the kicker back to the amp and the metra for the big 3.

why... With current flowing through one connecting conductor, the electrons have a slight increase in the chance of colliding with each other causing heat buildup and more resistance. However with the current running through multiple conductors it is less likely for collisions and resistance would be slightly reduced, but dramatically reduced overall. Why don't you learn a thing or 2 about how current flows before you start talking.

You're nuts. In theory, that might work for HIGH power AC apps. But in the Caraudio DC world, where space is at a premium... You have horrible ideas.

Again you prove my point. You know absolutely nothing, yet continue to run off at the keyboard, posting complete BS.
You are my hero. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif

Anyways back on topic. I got some Tsunami Competition 1/0 and 4awg from Johnecon. I also have some Kicker HyperFlex 1/0awg. I think the kicker has more strands but to the ***** eye they look literally the same.
