big 3 question(pics included)

no seriously though it does no harm to use one, so if you wanna use one by all means waste the 25+ dollars.... but not using one causes no harm

Sorry I didnt get back to you i beeen at work but no you dont need a fuseholder for your bat 2 alt. Some people do just to do it but its not neccesary especially since your not running much power.

so I need two fuse holders..and two fuses..one for the big 3 upgrade and one for the basic system.
Yes 2 fuse holders and 2 fuses. Put them as close to the battery as possible. Their purpose is to protect the battery in the event of a short.

Obviously a lot of people don't use them, but that's because not many people have problems, it's the handful that do that will be lucky they spent 15$ on a fuse holder...I mean you don't HAVE to fuse your main power wire either, but if you accidentally short it, you'll be lucky you did...

okay..well just to keep things non confusing for me. im going to use a fuse/fuseholder for the alt to bat and fuse/fuseholder for the main system like is shown..do I need to have the same size fuse? or what do y'all recommend?

What size wire are you using?

if installed correctly you do not need a fuse. the stock wiring isnt fused, is it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

and besides, the wire is rated for approx 3xx amps- there is no way you will endanger overloading the 1/0 unless it is shorted.

Stock wiring is fused...

And you don't fuse the wire to protect it from YOU drawing too much current, if your system is pulling close to what the wire is rated at, you need bigger wire. You fuse to protect the wire/equipment in case of a short.
