Big 3 + Pics

So did u have to do any modifyin to fit that on ur alt?

Mine is in a similar place but on drivers side....stupid frikin Japs(just jokes).....

Also,u just melted the copper wire fron the 0 gauge onto the crimped terminals?

Didnt understand fully...sorry.

I got to the alternator from underneath the car. The only way to get at it from above (you HAVE to take the coolant resivour, AC oil pump, and intake manifold off to remove it) is to disassemble a ton of things.

To solder it up, I just headed up the ring terminal for 15- 20 seconds, and touched solder around the edge where the wire meets the terminal. The solder isn't there to actually hold the wire in place; that's what crimping is for. The solder is just to fill the gaps around the edges so there is a better connection.

Considering copper melts around 2000 F, i highly doubt you're getting away from solder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You just crimp the joint which creates the mechanical connection, then heat it up till the solder flows right in, finishing the electrical joint.
