There is about 1/4" clearance above the amp to the bottom of the seat.

is that amp gonna have enough room for cooling?
looks sexy, though

Also, it will be running in 4ohm stereo. About half what it's rated for. It should barely get warm. Not to mention, it hardly ever gets driven more than 20minutes at a time. If i drive anywhere farther than 20mins, i take the Honda.

Use as few screws as possible and that will help splitting. Pre-drilling is not the answer to keep the wood from splitting as people here seem to believe. For the amp rack, it probably would have been best to only use one screw per side right in the middle. That will reduce splitting and when the glue sets, the wood will not move at all.

Ya. Oh well, i think i sealed the splits up enough that i should be good on the rack, and the box.

All all of my drilling/screwing is done. The next thing i have to do is add a front and back piece to the amp rack which will be done out of 1/4" paneling. I will use paneling nails to attach it to the rack. along with the bond o tite of course. Then glassed over smooth.

well guys, i have to work approx 20hrs today, 8am to atleast 2am. Yea, you read that right. Great work on the build so far. It looks as if it will be a killer setup. This worklog is getting me anxious to install my sub and stuff.
