Okay, So i only worked a half day today, so i could get some work done on my install. I for the most part finished the amp rack today. I got the sides finished. The final plans for it are to get some 1/8 paneling for a home, and add front & back piece to it Then it will be glassed over smooth, and painted to match the box/truck. I didn't do anything to the box. I am going to get some wood putty, and fill in the edges that didn't line up right. I jsut got a call from work that we have to redo our inventory we jsut did last saturday. Oh, and no, this isnt an hp. Its something i threw together with spare parts to use in my shop. It accesses teh intertube, and thats about it. 1ghz, 512mb ram, 32mb vid card.

That one little notch doesnt fit all the way. But with the weight of the amp, it fits cool.

amp in for a test fit. There is about 1/4" clearance above the amp to the bottom of the seat.

And yes, i predrilled the holes. i don't know why they split. I drilled in with a bt almost the size of the screw, and the whole lentgh of the screw. Any suggestions?

It just happens sometimes, I think it's due to the screw not completly following the path of the predrilled hole. Besides, it's just an amp rack and doesn't require alot of strength. You do good work, keep it up.

It split on the box too, but i put some titebond on the outside of the splits, so it shouldn't be a problem. Just frusterating.

try moving the outer screws in an inch or so. that usually help stop splitting on my boxes
