DJ recommends 40hz+ tuning on his subs, the user tunes to 32 hz not to be an @ss but thats undertuning to me. Like I mentioned before to many variables as to why that happend. Those btw use to be mine glad they are comeing to a good home.. They already had 3k on them and you tell me when you get them if there is anything at all wrong with them..

I saw these subs and the box and the enclosure seemed fine. But I did say for the power he was running the suspension needed to be stiffer. None the less it was to much power for music.

Agreed.. The coils can take it.. no problem.. Nate when you call DJ for a recone tell him to slap as many spiders and he can get on them.. There for when you run them free air again/ and or out of tuning.. LOL you wont bottom them out as bad...

According to steve from DD, they are not selling recones to ANYBODY. That includes dealers and competitors.

Any sub needing a recone has to be sent in.

Needless to say, you'll probably see my 9510 and 9515 up for sale soon.

3242 Clamped Single amp.. 6321 Strapped CLAMPED watts on a set of 3000D's on 2 10'' HDC3 divide the power by 2 and thats3160 watts CLEAN.. 3weeks of play time and countless demo's Never ever had a problem at all!!!

3160-3240 watts is believable... and I assume you used a scope to check for clipping or used a PC based program like I do to measure THD since you emphasize the word 'clean' ?

Unfortunatly, you were measuring reactive power.. if you could account for the inductance and capacitance of your HDC3's you would find #'s around 20% or more, lower.

As far as puttin 3kw to these subs and not blowing them up.. I'm sure it can be done, but Iam also sure they can easilly be blown up without running the amp into distortion... carefully set gain levels obviously make the difference...
