Better than Hifonics Brutus 2100?

well mine are still stiff so im expecting around that this weekend who knows. i wanna try some dc xl's at some point but i cant seem to pull the trigger
DC subs look nice IMO but I have been told too many horror stories about them having to be reconed after comps on the regular.

Considering he's broken two brand new amps, it's most likely his electrical... especially he mentioned earlier that he doesn't want to upgrade any of the electrical stuff.

If two brand new amps didnt work.. I would highly doubt it's the amps fault. Most likely a wiring issue (considering you were asking what ohms you would be running, points towards user wiring error)
i completely bypassed my factory system by removing everything and straight up plugging an iphone into the rca input via an adapter, and still same issue. its nothing with my wiring. i know how to wire a car, ive wired up 6 different cars and rechecked the wires twice on my car..... all you do is a run the positive from battery to 12v amp terminal and ground from chassis to amp ground, and remote wire..... its not rocket science

Just saying, trying to run 2 kw on stock electrical isn't going to work out so well. That might be killing them but I'm not sure what all you have feeding those amps.

dude its not even that. i didnt even get to turn the gain up at all.

and i also have big 3 done with 3 additional grounding points (5 ground points) in 0 gauge... the sound didnt even come out of the amp so the amp wasnt even working to begin with.

I was just thinking that it's more likely that its a small user error (hey we all have done it) then to have TWO amps DOA on you. I personally have never got any product in my life DOA (not just car audio, all electronics) so I just found that a little hard to believe is all.

Also, you mentioned before that you weren't sure what ohm load two d4's produces. So I just kinda put 2 and 2 together

whatt?? lol i know what ohm D4 voice coils go at. its on crutchfield and in my owners manual... its either 1 or 4 ohm, thats not what i said, i said how would i wire it to 0.5 ohms when i was talking about the lanzar amp..

i know a little about car audio lol

People I know in the business tells me Hifonics used-to-be good, but now they aren't. If I were you I would return both of your broken amps, forget about getting a new one now and save. If you ask me, and I'm just a novice car audio enthusiast, to get an quality amp that can push 2000watts and up for $290.00 isn't going to cut it unless you want something mediocre or used. Are you trying to power the subs alone with it or what? And by the way I totally agree 2 amps going bad that were supposed to be new, impossible. The cause was likely a wiring issue that keeps putting your amps in protect mode!

My wire is not wrong. I completely re-wired my car and rechecked my power cable it's fine. My other amp works 100 percent for my speakers

What amp would you suggest jaguar?
