Better than A CVR

im thinking he was referring to mic only and he even said that it would still sound louder to the ear with 2 rather than just one 12, but having a small box for only one 12 just allows for more air travel and one loud sub would have a better chance than two because you would run into cancellation and choking off of bass freqs from the trunk with a wide box.
that was my understanding.. but regardless.. you will obviously see a gain with another CVR and double power. do that. inhuman acura is right its easier to just add another with a new box rather than worrying about selling the one you have and matching somethin new to your budget and amp.

if you can fit a pair of 12's, it will be louder.

THe idea is that one 12 WILL be louder than 2 if you severly choke the trunk with 2, and both setups are seeing in the order of the same power.

In this situation... so long as the box is designed properly, double the power and double the cone should help more than will be lost by choking the trunk.

why not go with a cvr 15 ported 32hz daul 2ohm woofer 5 cu ft you would luv the sound and from what i here hifonics amps perform better at 1ohm then 2ohms

Keep in mind that you will need cash for a new box as well, (doesnt seem like you are factoring in spending $60+ on a proper enclosure.)

The last box i built cost me around $50 and thats only cause i had to buy glue and nails... shouldnt cost me more than 40...

even with that, im thinking another cvr + new box will still end up cheaper and louder than buying a different sub and putting it in my current box....
