i just ordered those, and i havent really given them a good listen, just for a min... but they soudned very similar to my CAL 25's... very similar, i heard these even had the same build house, even tho the brand name put on them... (they have a thread about them over at diymobile)

one thing tho is there housing are HUGE... but for $35 shipped.. all the wires and decent crossovers that came with it... plus what seem to be like very solid tweeters... i dont think can be beat (for that price)

You've obviously never heard a good set of metal dome tweeters then.

To the OP. I've tried a few tweeters here and there. The Vifa silk domes that came with the older Alpine Type X comp set, Vifa XT25s (large format), LPG 26NA, and currently the B&G Neo3.

My favorite by far is the Neo3, without question. They have their draw backs however, the large size being one (oddly shaped as well), and they have a narrow pass-band window. Set up properly though, they will reward you with superb sound, that high dollar ribbon tweeters should envy.

Check the zaph site, for the battle of the none domes...the Neo3 came out on top.
