The CVR's just from sheer cone area.

what about 2 CVX 15s running on a total of 1000-1200 RMS in a ported box.

Or if they dont fit, 2 12inch CVX?

The problem here is the price but if i can keep it low enough than its good.

(15 inch CVXs and box and amp im looking at 750 minium. 12 inch CVXs im looking at around $700)

I just need to find a nice ported box, and for all the extra money im not sure they will pump all that much more than 2 CVRs, but i could be wrong

Using Ebay, for under $400 i could get a ported box, 2 Kicker CVR 12s, and a 1000.1 amp. WHAT SHOULD I DO???

You would need about 8 cu. ft. or thereabouts to run 2 15" CVX's. And if you're only going to run 1200 watts or so that's not enough for the CVX's. Can I ask a question? Why so stuck on Kicker? Is this going to be your first system? And you had quoted 400 for the CVR's. You can get those off Ebay for 260 or cheaper. To answer your question, Im use to Kicker and thats what I have now (2 10inch CVRs way underpowered and in a tiny box not big enough for 10 inch kicker comps) And honestly, there awesome, for what I use them for there great. But when i get the new BIGGER car with way more room, i want a bigger system and thump allot harder.

Im not stuck on kicker and anything you can show me il be glady open to.

and for the record, i saw on youtube 2 kicker CVX 12s running on 500 rms each and they kicked pretty hard still.

I am thinking about 2 12s (due to room and price) but the exact subwoofers OR BRAND is not decided.

1 ab xfl 15 off a decent 1200 rms amp and box should run you around 500. Spend the rest on electrical and deadening material.

It wasn't my intention to insult you. Just be open to different ideas. Hang around this forum for awhile and take in some ideas. Go to this website:Sound Solutions Audio - Quality Car Audio Subwoofers and go to the store link and check out some of the subs on here. Especially the Dcon or the Sundown E's. They're around the same price as the CVR's and much better quality. You'll not only sound better but you'll be louder.

Its all good man, Im just telling you why, and thanks for the advice, im just trying to find the best system for my budget I guess.

american bass xfl 15 seems to be very good, but I almost feel like 2 12inch subs would be better. Im going to go research now on the best 12 inch subs for around the same price as CVRs (or maby a bit more)

dude kicker *****, no longer what they use 2 be. they are sold in walmart now and in store fronts because people who dont know anything buy them

You want a custom made box. a box is everything. prorabbit on here is amazing top notch

More and more people are telling me to stay away from Kicker. I really do like what I have now, and i cant bash it...but i guess compared to some other people it just doesnt cut it.

Earthquake Sound TREMOR-X124 ($105 each) 625rms

Sundown E12 ($110 Each) 400rms

Dcon 12 ($125 each) 300rms

SKAR WX 12 ($155 each) 600rms

My top options now. Earthquake seems to be a really good option, and in the future I could always upgrade again if it fails, but there sub is very well liked and cant beat the price. The SKAR is my next option, I really like them

Excuse me? Im looking for a bump in a nice car that shakes stuff, allot of SPL for fun. Im not looking to blow all my money on a system that would kill any competiton (although that would be nice)

I would also recommend the Skar VVX 12's in the custom enclosure for you it is a good deal and I agree that it will definitely outperform the kickers.

If you like Kicks, then buy them. If you come here wanting to know what the best deals are for a given price range and power requirement, you are going to get them...and Kicker is just not on many people's list around here. That should tell you a lot.

because the subs u want to buy are sh1t. why did u even start this thread? people have suggested subs to you and u seem to have ur mind made up.

I ran 4 cvr 12s before the xs and they sound way cleaner and I'd say just as loud and with a box not prefab garbage they'll be impressive
