Best subwoofer setup

I am going to be getting a new Challenger, lots of trunk room, and the rear seats fold down right into it... so im looking for something to put in there. (id like to stay under $700 for everything)

What im thinking right now is to have 2 12inch CVRs in their ported box ($400) and a kicker 1000.1 amp ($300) OR go cheap with a RE Audio DTS-1000.1 ($160)

Please let me know the best amp to power whatever setup for a good price, i dont care if the amp is top of the line, i just need sufficent power.

I want to be heard coming down the street, but at the same time i want to enjoy my music. Subwoofers that play well and when i want them to get loud they can show off!

I am open to all options so let me know what would be best, thanks.

I would like the keep the amp under 1000 rms for power purposes (stock battery) and the trunk room im giving up is up to, 40in wide, 24 deep, and 18 tall.

RIGHT NOW the thing to beat is 2, SKAR VVX 12 D2 Subwoofers ($300 for both) a 1150RMS amp ($300) and a custom enclosure (around $100)

i have 2 exile xp 12's and they will be much louder and sound better than your cvr's 2.5 inch coil really nice subs. made by the engineers of phoenix gold

also why dont you do a 1 sub setup if you want to show off. get a AQ hdc3 15" Dual 2, run the amp at 1 ohm.

Happen to know any measurements of the trunk or how much space you're willing to give up?

Also, Just say no to Audiopipe.

Your Kicker idea wasn't too bad. You can get the setup with the "livin' loud" ported box off Ebay now for around 220 shipped. They get decently loud. Don't sound real good but if you're new to audio you'll probably think they're the shiz. Throw a Kicker zx750.1 on them and you're good to go.... You're under the 700 bucks by a couple hundred. Plus Kicker still sells well on Craigslist to get some of your money back when you're inevitably going to upgrade.

well really look into the custom made zen enclosure for your trunk, they make amazing boxes, kicker is garbage and there are a million other subs for the same price id get over cvr's.

get the D2's and wire them to a 2ohm final load. The brutus is suited real good for 2ohm use, judging by the doubling of output from 4ohm to 2ohms, and personal experience. They are not the best, but they are not the cheapest class d junk you can buy either. Don't know if the box will fit the car, but it fits the subs real good..check your trunk dimensions and see what you really can do, box wise..2 15's would be great..the above is just an example that can do good sounding bass for less.

Any ideas on hwo this would compare to the same size box pushing a 15 inch CVX??? (Or two CVX 15s running about 1000-1200RMS)
