Best subs for my application?

Get the Q's but I think you should get 2 sae-1000's. I have a 12" Q in a 2.5@30hz or so with a sae-1000 and it sounds excellent and has very good output. It's just like all the reviews of being able to get low and loud while sounding good at the same time. I haven't heard any of the others so I cant compare them.
You run a single 12"? How many watts are you feeding it? Do you think a 15" Q off ~650wRMS would get low and loud in my tC? I have a thread on this topic, but it's not getting much attention so I thought I'd ask you here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well u already have the sundown amp so its up to you...the sae1000 are perfect for it but if u stick with the ones u have..it helps incase u plan on upgrading in the future
There's always room for upgrades;)

I knew the Q was a good sub but I didn't know it would be so favored over the other subs I listed.

I have mine on an sae-1000 gains a little over half, im sure it would do just fine with that power. I know theres someone on here with a 12" Q in a tc but I think he's giving it more power.

Wll that's all i have expierience with so that's why I favor it.

Well the SAE-1000 gives you 1000 watts at 1 ohm, 600 at 2, and 300 at 4. How do you have your Q configured? My PDX birthed at 680, so I can give it a good bit of power, and in a ported box it should get pretty loud on what I've got. Just curious //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hey Beerdrnkr, would you like me to model the IDQ and the others for you?

How much power do you have on tap with the 1500? I know it's 1500 at 1 ohm, but will you be able to wire all the subs into a 1 ohm load?

That'll help determine your SPL.

EDIT: The IDQ models almost exactly the same as the Q and SE off 600wRMS. I'm gonna get a shower, but I'll do the others afterward and post the graph.

at 1 ohm

Alright, I've modeled all but the IA Lethal Injection, I can't find any T/S specs for it.

All graphs are held constant with 600wRMS input power.

Alright, color codes -

White = SSA Icon 15

Purple = Mach5 IXL15.2.2

Red = Fi Q 15

Blue = RE SE 15

Green = IDQ15v2-D2

So it would appear that the IDQ, FiQ, and SE model out very similarly as far as SPL and roll off go. The Icon and IXL have a similar roll off, but you can see that on the same power, the IXL lacks in output significantly.

I'm between the FiQ and SE myself right now.

Thanks for your help man. That's some good info. Decision decisions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
