This is going to be later down the road but I'm planning on getting 2 15's. They'll be ran ported and tuned low (about 30-32hz), it has to sound real good and have decent ouput, I have about 6c/ft and they'll be running off a sundown 1500d (might add a 2nd later). Spending limit will be about $550. What subs would be best for me and if you have any other choices or reviews let me know, thanks:

SSA Icon, Fi Q, IA Lethal Injection, Mach 5 IXL, Image Dynamics IDQ15V2, or the RE SE?

Heh... I'm actually torn on a few of the same myself. Check out my thread http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=326770

I'm trying to decide between an SE15, Q15, and Icon 15. I have graphed the SPL and MaxSPL using WinISD and that can be found on the second page of the thread... I can adjust them to 2 15's if you'd like to see those graphs.

That'd be awesome. I think that they're all reasonably going to be pretty close as far as sq but what it might boil down to is the room I have.

Yea well WinISD is currently giving the SSA a VERY big box to get the optimum setup.

Blue = (2) RE SE 15

White = (2) SSA Icon 15

Red = (2) Fi Q 15

The optimal box for a single SSA Icon 15 is 5.75ft^3 @ 24Hz.

The optimal box for a single RE SE 15 is 2.4ft^3 @ 22Hz.

The optimal box for a single Fi Q 15 is 1.5ft^3 @ 25Hz.

So I guess you can double those ft^3 values for two 15's, which makes the SSA box HUGE. Though I'm sure you can get away with a smaller box and higher tuning.

Thanks a lot, that helped knock 1 sub out of the running...lol

SQ but will port for some more output. I have 3 12's sealed for sq. I'll swap the 15's in when I want to get a little louder but I can't stand muddy bass.

Get the Q's but I think you should get 2 sae-1000's. I have a 12" Q in a 2.5@30hz or so with a sae-1000 and it sounds excellent and has very good output. It's just like all the reviews of being able to get low and loud while sounding good at the same time. I haven't heard any of the others so I cant compare them.
