Would running a brahma at only 600 RMS be a waste?

i'd have to say it depends on the enclosure. In a real large enclosure tuned low, 600 watts might be pleanty. I'd say get closer to 1000 and you'll be happy. 600 watts will power it nicely, but you wont get its full potential
