Best sub?

Hey man I love the jl w7, but its ****ing not that great for the price. I have one and it sounds good, but I also didnt pay 500$ for it. You should look into the alpine type-r, JL 12w3, Fosgate hx2 hope that helps some

jeremy...how can u go from talking about a w7 ($500) to a w3 ($150)...they arent even comparable. the Type R, w3, and hx2 dont compare at all to the brahma or eclipse titaniums or even the w7's. Im guessing (may be wrong) that he is looking for a very high output, high powered sub. Which means those you listed aren't. They all handle around 300 watts. The brahma, XXX, w7, or others like these handle 1000+.

I understand that bumpin03 I was just saying that the w3 type R and hx2 all are good subs for the price, but if he is willing to spend the 500$ for a sub then have at it with the xxx w7 and brahma, but I would like to ask a couple of things?

Would the would the infinity kappa perfect 12.1d be in the runnings with the brahma and xxx?

Would you happen to have any extra eq's you wanna get rid of? Im looking for one that will just do the job nothing expensive.

the perfects would fit in there for SQ...but extremely far from fitting in there with SPL. Still, I wouldn't classify them together. They handle like 1/5 of the power a brahma can handle.

kicker solobaric is ok, but they have the problem on the squares where they crack at the corners and the price is a bit much when you can get something else..better I think!!

Crack at the corner? Where did you see this at? Maybe the sub didnt have the right brake in. Kicker L7 are some of the best SPL subs out there and SQ wise they arent the best but given the right install you can get the L7's to sound very nice. The price isnt that bad ive them good for under 200$ at some places.

Is there one amp that could power any two of these subs, or more specifically 2 brahmas, or would i need one amp for each one? i heard that adire and ampman audio make a amp called the revolution jsut for brahmas, but it is calss D. Would a class T clarion amp be better since it is digital?

the max is not really important....its the rms (constant amount of power that sub/amp can hanlde/push) that really matters.....the max is just how much the sub could hanlde in a brief musical burst....good luck

For full spl you would probably need 2 amps.. but there are a few amps out there that put out 2000 + watts of clean power (not Boss). You could power them pretty well with like a revolution (by adire and ampman) or you could power them with maybe an mtx 81000d.. You would have to wire the two subs at a totall of 2 ohms so you need an amp that can put out mad power at two ohms.. or one that can do .5 ohms. I dont know any that will do that off the top of my head but i'm sure there are some that will. You could try 2 jbl 1200.1 for each.. thats going to pull tons of current though, make sure you have good alternator. YOu might just want to get 1 brahma and put it in a huge ported box. its too bad adire hasnt made a dvc 4 ohm brahma yet.

I understand that, but I was just curious, because most rms and max or halfs like the fosgate he10 holds 200rms max 400. So in theory the (The kappa is 1400max I was wondering whats the deal with the 350rms??) handles 1400 max making it 700rms??

what does a brahma 12 hold??
