Best sub for quality

Hey guys, I want to switch out from my alpine type X and was wondering what would be a better sub for just quality.

Here are my limitations:

Car is a 00 honda civic coupe

Box size: 1.1 cu ft box (unless I need to build another)

RMS from amp: 1000@ 1 750@ 2 450@ 4 (mm1000.1d)

preferably 1 10" sub

some pressure I'd love to have but my main focus is quality. I figured get a strong enough sql sub that I shouldn't need to worry about spl because it'll go along with it anyway

I don't mind my type X but...with an efficiency of 81, it's terrible to crank volume out of it (sacrifice for quality). It's not nearly as loud as my friend's w6 although I do like the sound better of the X

So what do you guys suggest?

Polk SR 10"Straight up sounds awesome IMO. on par with type X, and W6, I would say in between, but get fairly loud! and 87 db efficiency if that's something your looking at. Check these out, they have em at Tweeter and sound advice

Fi Q 10 or 12 might be worth checking out.

Not sure when they're going to be available for purchase, but maybe a pair of the new Assassins or an Arsenal or two?
