Hey I am looking for the best compents for 1 of my work trucks it is a 2000 GMC 3500. I dont want to spend more than 100 dollars. I want a crisp mellow sounding set I would like silk dome tweets not aluminum. So please give me some opnions temporally I will run them off a Sony GTX-500 head unit and in the next month I will get a amp and feed em around 50 watts a piece.

Thanks for any help.

CDt CL61 all the way, i am using he same exact ones and all i can say it they are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

He is going to need way more than 50 watts a piece to power the CDT's. Especially the cl61. You want to put 150 watts to them to make them sing.

I'd say get the CDT CL61 for about $130 and save up for a better amp.

STAY AWAY from the CDT cl61's.Most overhyped pieces of shit I have heard. They are far from "crisp".Honestly, very dissapointing. They just sound god awful.

The pioneer revs are your best bet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've actually heard them in a couple, and I owned a set for a while.Messed with them quite a bit.We went as far as to try replacing a friend's polks with them in kicks.Tried a couple diff. amps, even another head unit and they still sounded. . . . . bleh.

Must have had a bad set or something, i have used, infinity, polk, mb quart and still like the sound of the Cdt better. My brother was even using Diamands and heard my Cdt CL61's and switched too.

Well I think Imleaning toward the CDT and would they sound decent of my SONY GTX-500 head unit temporaly. Then i will get a Percesion Power 300x2 amp for them.

Thanks for the replys

Check ebay, I just bought some new ADS 246iX 6.5" (copolymer cone) for $99 (retail $300) and they have ADS 346iX (aluminum spun cone) 6.5"(retail $600) on sale for $139 from "the12vikings"(?). Someone (supposedly very knowledgeable) on another forum gave me this tip and said ADS are top of the line.
