Best budget battery?

Forget about the cost completely and focus on what you need to run the power you want to run. This includes alternators, batteries, wire, connectors, et al.

Then, go on the interwebz and search for the best price on the things you know you must have in order to have a system that does what you want it to do.

But put first things first and find out exactly what you need to be asking for, because "cheapest" changes by the minute.

Exactly what he said *** a battery bank either way it puts a ton of strain on the alternator as it has to charge every battery you need a highoutput alternator then you can put as many batteries as you want cheap or not to help the system out dont go the cheap route or youll end up spending more and having no car to drive until you recoupe the choice is yours play it smart save up do it right the first time

Depends, the g34 is $150 at my sam's plus a $15 core charge... They used to be $130 just a couple months ago and I'm pretty sure they were about $100 a year ago
PS: I ran 2500w on a stock 130a alt and the voltage drop was awful. I'd recommend not going over 2k unless you're willing to buy a HO alt.
F**k they are $179.99 + core here in Springfield those greedy f**kers.

O'reiley's/VIP auto part stores also have a re-badged Dekka for around 150$

I'm a big fan of large battery banks. I have a strong suspicion that most people aren't getting anywhere near the rated output from their 600$ alternators under real world conditions.... Though really a lot depends on your listening habits.

I would generally budged at much in electrical upgrades as I have into amplifiers to be really solid.
